Boho Woodland meets Analog Bride

Is it weird to start a blog post by saying Thank You? If it is then I suppose Iā€™m happy to be weird.

No woman is an island & I am certainly no exception.

This photoshoot began as a brain child in my head. It was meant to be a bohemian inspired solo bridal photoshoot & I desperately wanted to photograph a flower crown.

However, through the vision of my collaborators it became something more beautiful than I could have imagined.

The final photoshoot came together as a mix of natural bridal fairy & a hint of grunge with digital & analog photography techniques.

Every person who worked on this shoot gave their all &, as a photographer, stylist, & human, I am eternally grateful for their energy & talents.

XO Rachel.

Magical Winter Light at Rob & Rosio's Wedding

502439597.00_01_54_03.Still002.jpg

Hello from Studio Optica, and welcome to our blog! We're going to be sharing some images and clips from our weddings, corporate work, and other projects, as well as behind-the-scenes and more.

After a long winter here in Edmonton, spring is FINALLY on its way - the snow is melting and the days are getting longer. We're excited for the season ahead - & not just for the weather but also for our upcoming wedding season.

Still though, we're thinking back to some of our favorite things about winter - like the magical Northern winter light, which you can see in these stills from Rob & Rosio's winter wedding video.

You can see the introduction for their video here:
